Factory XII is a deathmatch map for Unreal Tournament 2004 designed for 4-10 players. I worked solo on this level using only existing assets from Unreal Tournament 2004 over a period of two weeks. The level incorporates BSP modeling, static mesh placement, custom particle effects, skybox, and ambient sound placement.
This is the second of two rooms. The entire level has relatively simplistic gameplay spaces; those spaces are further refined by object placement. In particular, here you can see how boxes provided secondary stairways and cover, while still leaving wide open areas for players to run around and fight in. Spawn points are hidden behind crates to give the player a chance to orient themselves. Each spawn point is also near a weapon, allowing the player to jump right back into the action.
