Lock's Quest is my first shipped title and my first game at 5th Cell. As the first designer hired specifically for the project, I became responsible for a variety of tasks throughout the project from map design to environmental art to scripting cut scenes. There are few areas in this game that I did not touch in some way, so I can see my love of this game in every screenshot.
Here Lock is executing the second special attack he receives, the "acid touch." Originally, this was simply called "poison," but that doesn't make much sense against robots, does it? Incidentally, there are three poison-like moves: Acid turrets, acid traps, and the acid special. These all do a damage over time effect, but they all stack. This is some of the highest damage per second you can actually do, and for what it's worth, acid touch is a much better ability than the power buff.
