Centrifuge is a single player experience created in Quake 4 that combines the elements of environmental art and scripting. I worked alone on this level for a period of around one week total, using only existing texture and model assets from Quake 4. The primary features of this level are use of patches for curved world geometry and entities and scripting to manipualte motion and behavior. The level also contains custom particle effects and GUIs.

Custom GUIs and scripted events bring the level to life with consoles that flip up, a bridge that rises with folding arms, and spinning barrels that retract into the ceiling. The apparatus holding the barrels, the light fixtures in the middle, and even parts of the bridge are also custom models created in the level editor from patch gruops.
