Factory XII is a deathmatch map for Unreal Tournament 2004 designed for 4-10 players. I worked solo on this level using only existing assets from Unreal Tournament 2004 over a period of two weeks. The level incorporates BSP modeling, static mesh placement, custom particle effects, skybox, and ambient sound placement.
This level was designed with the concepts of using props to break up large, simple gameplay spaces and creating visible areas outside of the accessible gameplay area to add atmosphere. The primary focus for the art was to sell the location as obviously being part of some sort of industrial facility. Extra attention was paid for creating believable and expected details such as doors and windows to the outside world.
