The Shipyard

The Shipyard is a single player level for Quake 4 that I created as a solo project over a period of two and a half months, including time for documenatation and planning. The entire level uses only existing texture and model assets from Quake 4. This level features AI scripting and sequenced events as well as detailed world geometry created out of BSP brushes and patches. The level also includes custom particle effects, sound effect placement, and music.

I designed this level to immerse the player in the scene while incorporating as much gameplay as possible. I used reference pictures from the original Quake 4 and an attention to detail to really make the level feel like a believable continuation of the Quake 4 universe. All of the geometry in this scene was created from scratch, but it should be very familiar to those who played the single player campaign, adding a sense of continuity.
