Factory XII is a deathmatch map for Unreal Tournament 2004 designed for 4-10 players. I worked solo on this level using only existing assets from Unreal Tournament 2004 over a period of two weeks. The level incorporates BSP modeling, static mesh placement, custom particle effects, skybox, and ambient sound placement.
This view shows more of the scenery placed outside one of the windows. Smoke rises from chimneys as a believable extension of the building. The large windows serve a dual purpose of showing the player the outside structures – the chimneys and the skybox, as well as allowing the dramatic lighting. The particle effect for the smoke seen here was cusom-made.
